Recently I featured the Cairo Red Shield band, based in Cairo during
World War II, featuring mainly British expatriot personnel. Brenton
Brockhouse has supplied me with a photo received recently by Richard
Marchant of the Cairo Red Shield Band taken on 19th June 1946 in front
of the Forces General Hospital, Heliopolis, Cairo.
No names unfortunately but an excellent quality original. The photo
comes from Mr Fred Price, middle row, 5th from the right with euphonium.
